The kelp, harvested from its natural habitat, is prepared using a novel process that retains the essential biological properties of kelp.

The process is environmentally friendly, based on a non-destructive treatment of the kelp, resulting in a pliable textile-like material.  As a result, a sustainable material is produced that retains the aesthetic features of kelp as found in nature.

The material can be assembled into fabrics and used as-is, or in combination with textiles or other materials. This forms the basis for much of the work that the studio creates.
